Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is soliciting a turnkey assembly for one paint supply truck. The vendor must furnish and install a 24-foot flatbed, hydraulically driven truck-mounted rotary broom, hydraulic truck-mounted crash attenuator, and programmable LED message board on a state-provided 2026 Freightliner 114SD Plus tandem-axle chassis. The completed unit must be operational upon delivery and suitable for all-weather work on the state highway system. The scope includes all mounting hardware, hydraulic pumps, valves, reservoir, controls, hoses, wiring, lighting, reflective tape, and related components. The attenuator must meet the specified MASH 2016 TL-3 criteria and applicable FHWA and DOT requirements; the message board must meet the detailed programmable full-matrix and MUTCD Type C arrow-board requirements. The vendor must provide drawings for the message-board mount, manuals and attaching instructions, standard warranties, progress reports every two weeks, and inspection access during construction. Installation and delivery are FOB Aberdeen, with delivery required within 120 days after receipt of the truck chassis; late delivery may incur $100 per day per unit.
