Description
Lewis County is soliciting bids for the 2023 County Safety Program, Federal Aid Project HSIP-000S(675), Project CRP 2205. The work includes traffic-safety improvements at various locations along Centralia Alpha Road between mileposts 1.78 and 15.35, including guardrail installation and replacement, flexible guide posts, guardrail reflectors, slope work, clearing, roadway excavation, crushed surfacing, drainage and culvert work, wire fencing, seeding and mulching, underground utility verification potholes, and temporary traffic control. The engineer's estimate is $1.75 million to $1.95 million. The project has a mandatory Federal Small Business Enterprise participation goal of 11%, requires prevailing-wage compliance, and includes federal-aid construction requirements. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal package, including the proposal, federal-aid certification, non-collusion declaration, signed proposal page, wage-law compliance certification, subcontractor list, WSDOT Bidder Questionnaire Form 272-022, five-percent bid security, and power equipment list. The successful bidder must later provide full-amount payment and performance bonds and insurance before contract execution.
