Description
The City of Cleveland is soliciting bids for various new, unused, wet-charged, maintenance-free automotive and commercial batteries for its Division of Motor Vehicle Maintenance. Batteries must meet applicable Battery Council International specifications and ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 quality requirements. Automotive-style batteries must have inaccessible individual cells, while commercial-style batteries must be anchor bonded. The scope includes delivery, separate core-charge pricing, pickup of battery cores as needed, and compliance with ISO 14001 global recycling requirements. Bidders must bid all listed battery items, provide a current price list showing the City's pricing arrangement or discount, and include battery specifications. Alternate brands require prior approval; the solicitation identifies AC Delco products as satisfactory evaluation references.
