Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quote for two manual M30/P1 crash-rated drop-arm barriers, or equal, with a 21-foot clear opening for two flightline entry-control points. The barriers must meet ASTM F2656-15 certification requirements, arrest a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling 30 mph, support single-person manual operation, include secure locking provisions, withstand the specified high-desert environmental conditions, and allow future conversion to hydraulic or electromechanical operation. The contractor must provide turnkey site preparation, utility location, excavation, concrete foundation construction in accordance with the manufacturer's engineering drawings, installation, functional testing, and shipping. The requirement has a 120-calendar-day period of performance from receipt of the notice to proceed. Quotes will be evaluated using a lowest-priced technically acceptable approach, with technical information required for every priced line item. The project magnitude is stated as over $250,000 to $500,000.
