Hooper Water Improvement District is soliciting proposals for a site diesel generator and automatic transfer switch system for its new Well 4 culinary water well. The generator design criteria specify a 1-megawatt diesel unit in a weather enclosure, serving one 400-horsepower well pump, one 250-horsepower booster pump, air-conditioning loads for the pump motors and variable-frequency drives, and other site systems. The system must include a diesel fuel tank sized for 24 hours of operation. The site is expected to operate in 30-hour cycles every four days.
