Description
The U.S. Army is conducting market research to identify existing, mature, or near-mature software capabilities that could support or evolve into a unified Virtual Collective Training Software Solution (VCTS) for battalion-and-below training within the Synthetic Training Environment (STE). This RFI seeks information on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and hybrid solutions that can interface with, drive, or integrate alongside current Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) hardware and associated virtual training peripherals. The Army is interested in understanding technical maturity (preferably Training Readiness Level (TRL) 8 or near-TRL 8), integration feasibility, scalability, and vendor production/procurement capabilities. The STE is the Army's modernization effort intended to evolve into a single, interconnected training architecture. Key components include Next Generation Constructive (NGC), One World Terrain (OWT), RVCT hardware, Training Simulation Software (TSS), Training Management Tool (TMT), and Games for Training (GFT). The Army requires a mature, stable software solution capable of driving the RVCT and supporting current and future virtual training concepts, addressing needs for improved system stability, entity scalability, and rapid integration of emerging capabilities. Respondents are asked to provide information on their current capabilities and product maturity, architecture and integration approaches, scalability and performance considerations, terrain and environment tools, data usage and interoperability, cybersecurity and deployment models, intellectual property and data rights, and future growth roadmaps. Feedback on assumptions, constraints, and potential requirement streamlining is also welcomed.
