Description
Brunswick County is soliciting bids for 50% liquid sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), with an estimated annual quantity of 303,177 pounds. The chemical must be quoted and delivered by mini-bulk to Ocean Isle Beach, Sea Trail, and Northeast Regional wastewater treatment plants. The supplier must be able to deliver into the existing storage facilities using a truck equipped for pressure delivery or an independent pump and an approved 20-foot hose. Each bid must include product specifications, Safety Data Sheets and technical data sheets, a typical metals analysis, and warranty and shelf-life information. The quantity is an estimate only; purchases will be made as needed, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum. The intended initial contract term runs through June 30, 2027, followed by two automatic one-year renewal options.
