Description
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to procure research and development services for three Field Centers supporting the Strong Heart Study Legacy Cohort. The work includes longitudinal participant follow-up; morbidity and mortality surveillance; two limited clinical examinations; clinical events investigation; quality assurance and quality control; data collection and analysis; scientific and community-facing reporting; and collaboration with study committees and a separately procured Coordinating Center. Field Centers will also maintain Tribal and community partnerships, obtain applicable community reviews and approvals, operate a Community Advisory Board or Group, conduct community-based pilot research, provide training and mentoring, support research capacity-building, and organize community symposium activities. The anticipated acquisition is for three IDIQ contracts with a ten-year ordering period, approximately November 15, 2027, through November 14, 2037; the notice is a presolicitation synopsis and not an RFP.
