Description
Atlantic County is soliciting medical transportation services for Medicaid, Medicare, and private-pay residents of Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 180-bed facility in Northfield, New Jersey. The contractor must provide inside pickup and delivery, both wheelchair and stretcher transportation, and 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service for scheduled and on-demand trips to medical facilities and doctors' offices within and outside Atlantic County, including Camden, Philadelphia, Vineland, and Manahawkin. Vehicles must be approved by the Atlantic County Department of Human Services, and drivers must maintain proper licensing, including commercial driver's licenses, and BLS certification. The contractor must coordinate trips with nursing-home staff, arrange alternate transportation when necessary, meet pickup-time requirements, attend quarterly quality-assurance meetings, and include dwell time in pricing. Award will be based on the lowest flat fee plus unit price per mile. The contract runs from notice of award or execution through December 31, 2027, with an option to renew for one additional year.
