Description
The City of Vancouver is seeking an upgraded replacement for its existing analogue VHF radio system. The selected proponent must design, supply, install, commission, test, document, and support a four-frequency-pair analogue simulcast system serving approximately 911 portable and mobile radios across City operations, with reliable coverage in Vancouver and at the Vancouver Landfill. The solution must include repeaters, system controllers, equipment racks, combiners, multicouplers, transmission lines, antennas, mounting hardware, grounding and surge protection, required permits, software, licenses, backhaul, cybersecurity measures, and related infrastructure. The scope also includes coverage modeling and design, spectrum-licensing support, system migration, acceptance testing, training, documentation, recommended spare parts, warranty, maintenance, and ongoing technical support. The initial contract is five years, with two possible two-year extensions, for a maximum term of nine years. Proponents must complete the scope-of-work, technical-requirements, and financial-proposal questionnaires; provide supplier, compliance, insurance, WorkSafeBC, and other applicable information; and submit the proposal through the Supplier Portal. The total project fee is requested as a lump sum for the initial five-year contract.
