Description
Miami-Dade County, through the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, is soliciting proposals for a qualified operator to finance, design, build, manage, operate, and maintain a neutral-host converged distributed antenna system at Miami International Airport. The turnkey solution must provide indoor and outdoor cellular coverage for major wireless service providers, including AT&T, FirstNet, T-Mobile, and Verizon, support current and future technologies such as 4G LTE, 5G NR, C-Band, and potential CBRS integration, and provide coverage across terminals, concourses, parking facilities, train stations, and specified aviation facilities. The selected operator will transition from the existing DAS without service interruption, design and install the new fiber-based system, onboard wireless carriers, provide ongoing 24/7 operations and maintenance, perform acceptance and endurance testing, and supply reporting, monitoring, upgrades, and closeout documentation. The anticipated contract term is 120 months, with one 60-month renewal option. The County prefers an annual license fee of at least $1,500,000, and proposals will be evaluated on experience, key personnel, financial capacity, technical approach, and proposed revenue payments.
