Description
The Evansville–Vanderburgh Levee Authority District is soliciting a contractor to perform a comprehensive riverfront painting and protective-coatings project. Work includes pressure washing and protecting adjacent areas; applying two coats of concrete stain in two colors; preparing and coating handrails, galvanized steel components, chain-link fencing, and light and speaker racks; and cleaning up and restoring affected areas. An additive alternate covers pressure washing concrete seating areas that are not scheduled to receive new finishes. Bidders must verify site conditions and square footage. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, tools, and equipment, implement pedestrian and vehicle traffic controls, and meet applicable licensing and insurance requirements. The bid package calls for a bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds before work begins. The solicitation also requires bid-time experience and qualification materials, including three local reference letters, a manpower list, and a description of relevant operating history. The addendum states that the pre-bid meeting is optional.
