Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to investigate and repair malfunctioning medium- and low-voltage switchgear, ABB distribution switchgear, two ASCO automatic transfer switches, protective relays, and associated control components. Work includes inspections, relay and control-circuit evaluation, replacement or repair of defective coils, relays, batteries, wiring, and MOC/TOC blocks, ATS troubleshooting, breaker testing and maintenance, and generator/ATS integration testing as needed. The contractor must provide all labor, parts, tools, equipment, and travel; personnel must include a licensed electrical contractor and factory-certified medium-voltage breaker technicians with at least five years of experience, and meet the stated safety and service qualifications. Required deliverables include an investigation report, repair completion report, updated equipment condition log, and recommendations for reliability improvements. Work is performed during scheduled outages and coordinated shutdowns, including after-hours and weekend work as required. The solicitation describes this as a one-time service and requires a one-year warranty on completed equipment and services.
