Description
The City seeks one new, unused, 2028 model year or newer refuse collection truck, complete and ready for service. The vehicle must include a heavy-duty chassis and a 25-cubic-yard rear-loading refuse body, with dual hydraulic cart tippers, operating controls on both sides, lighting, a rear-view camera and monitor, safety equipment, and specified accessories. The specifications identify Freightliner 108SD and New Way 25-yard Cobra Magnum models as examples, while allowing approved equivalents that meet or exceed the requirements. The bid must include pricing, the proposed equipment’s technical specifications and compliance information, delivery schedule, payment terms, and written warranty details. The truck is to be delivered fully assembled, serviced, inspected, and operational; the vendor must demonstrate its systems at delivery. The solicitation also requires responses to warranty, exception, statutory compliance, and terms questions, and applicable Kentucky bidder affidavits. A business license and insurance documentation are required before award or contract performance as specified; they are not all necessarily due with the bid.
