Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting refuse collection and disposal services for the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. Memphis VA Medical Center and associated clinic locations. The contractor must provide personnel, vehicles, containers, compactors, tools, supervision, transportation, and disposal of solid waste at a licensed disposal site. Services include scheduled and emergency collections, container relocation, cleanup of collection areas, weighing and reporting of refuse tonnage, and disposal of regular solid waste. Regulated medical, pathological, chemotherapy, pharmaceutical, construction and demolition, and confidential document waste are excluded as specified in the solicitation. The contractor must furnish and maintain required containers and collection equipment, provide a standby vehicle, clean and repair equipment, prevent spills, and comply with route, holiday, safety, security, records-management, and reporting requirements. The base period is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, followed by four annual ordering periods. The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and quotations must include the five submission items identified in the solicitation, plus a Sustainable Acquisition Plan.
