Description
The City of Houston's Houston Information Technology Services Department is seeking one or more qualified firms to provide on-demand network structured cabling and infrastructure deployment services across more than 300 City sites. Work may include installation of Cat6, Cat6A, coaxial, and fiber cabling; equipment racks and cable management systems; grounding and bonding; troubleshooting, repairs, testing, labeling, certification, as-built drawings, site surveys, project coordination, and installation of City-furnished IT equipment. The contractor must support multiple concurrent projects, provide emergency response within two hours, and maintain 24x7 technical support. The contract is planned for an initial three-year term with two optional one-year renewals. Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, Houston-area personnel, manufacturer and industry certifications, drafting capabilities using AutoCAD or Revit, qualified technical staff, equipment and calibration documentation, project examples, client references, implementation and project-management plans, and compliance with City IT standards. The proposal must include fixed five-year pricing, a 5% WBE and 1% SBE participation goal, and the required forms, certifications, financial information, and cost proposal.
