Description
The West Virginia Purchasing Division, on behalf of the West Virginia Division of Highways, is soliciting bids for an open-end contract covering Type A/C hybrid hazard warning lights, detachable-head Type B warning lights, and solar-assist Type B warning lights. Estimated quantities are 200 Type A/C lights, 300 detachable-head Type B lights, and 200 solar-assist Type B lights; actual orders are not guaranteed. The Type A/C light must function as either a low-intensity flashing Type A light or a low-intensity steady-burn Type C light, use LED illumination, operate on D-cell alkaline batteries, and weigh no more than 3.3 pounds with batteries installed. The detachable-head Type B light must be listed on the WVDOH Approved Products List, operate on 6 volts, and include a 12- to 15-foot permanent electrical cord connecting the detachable head to a remote battery case. The solar-assist Type B light must use four D-cell alkaline batteries, accept the batteries without special holders, and include a solar trickle-charging feature. Type B lights must include compliant sun-shield visors. Vendors must complete the pricing pages and Product Compliance Checklist Form, and products must meet the applicable Approved Products List requirements.
