Description
The Florida Department of Transportation intends to enter into a single-source contract with Malvern Panalytical, Inc. for a one-year service agreement covering Zetium X-ray fluorescence equipment used to test cementitious materials and other highway construction and traffic-control materials. The agreement is intended to support testing accuracy, project source approvals, product approvals, forensic analysis, and accreditation requirements. The requested services include efforts to provide a 48-hour on-site response during normal business hours, unlimited corrective-maintenance calls, phone support, labor and travel during regular business hours, two preventive-maintenance visits during the contract period, remote hardware/software and applications support, and spare-parts coverage excluding consumables, tubes, and X-ray detectors. Malvern Panalytical is identified as the only known authorized maintenance provider because the equipment software and support are proprietary. The estimated dollar amount is $39,711.
