Description
Polk County is soliciting sealed bids for its FY 2027 Line Striping Project. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, thermoplastic materials, and services necessary to stripe approximately 14 county roads, including yellow centerline striping and, where specified, white striping. Addendum No. 1 clarifies that the listed quantities represent total striping footage rather than road length, that all lines must be thermoplastic, and that reflectors must not be included in the bid. The work must comply with the current Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges, along with the attached modifications and special provisions. Bidders must visit the sites and determine the full scope of work. Subcontractors require prior approval from the Polk County Public Works Director. The selected contractor must complete the project within 60 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and liquidated damages are $100 per day. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the awarded project cost, are required from the successful contractor.
