Description
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is soliciting bids for an annual requirements contract for NIJ Level III Ballistic Rifle Shields. The solicitation specifies detailed technical requirements for the shields, including dimensions, weight, ballistic material, handle type, strap attachment system, padding, and lighting. The shields must meet or exceed NIJ Standard 0108.01 for Level III protection and must be tested against M193/.223 rounds by an NIJ independent laboratory. Bidders must provide manufacturer and model information for any "or equal" products offered, along with complete technical specifications, test results, product warranty coverage, descriptive literature, and a supplier information form. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder meeting all requirements.
