Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane requires onsite maintenance of a Hitachi SU7000 variable-pressure field-emission scanning electron microscope used for electronic-parts testing. The contractor must provide unlimited onsite emergency service with a 48-hour response time, one preventive-maintenance service, and parts required for service. Work will be performed at the government site and must comply with applicable facility-security requirements, including advance submission of personnel information, U.S. citizenship and identification requirements, possible government escorts, and coordination of site access at least five days before work. The procurement is intended as a sole-source action with Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. because of proprietary information, specialized software, manufacturer-trained service engineers, and access to the manufacturer's parts inventory. The solicitation identifies the requirement as a firm-fixed-price, one-lot service with a performance period from December 13, 2026, through December 12, 2027. Interested offerors must submit the required information by email by the stated deadline; the agency may use responses to determine whether a competitive procurement will be conducted.
