Description
The U.S. Navy is conducting market research for engineering and technical root cause analysis support involving Stryten Energy LLC submarine valve-regulated lead-acid batteries used on Navy submarines and moored training ships. The Government is seeking companies with the capabilities and facilities to perform comparable root cause analysis and identify alternatives that could mitigate the stated sole-source basis. Responses should provide company and product literature, a white paper of no more than 15 pages, relevant performance parameters, current availability, prior production and testing history, test reports, budgetary cost estimates for test articles and production units, production quantity breaks, lead time, availability of a demonstration unit, and information about similar Government contracts. No funding is currently available, and this Sources Sought notice is not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
