Description
The City of Oklahoma City is soliciting bids from contractors prequalified as "Paving Contractor B" for citywide snow and ice plowing and removal on streets within the city. Services will be authorized through work orders issued during storm emergencies and may include plowing, snow and ice removal, intersection clearing, hauling and stacking snow, streetcar-track sweeping, temporary rock entrances/exits, and furnishing fine sand. Required equipment includes dump trucks, front-end loaders, a motor grader, an excavator, and a street sweeper meeting the stated specifications. Contractors must provide qualified, properly licensed operators and maintain equipment with required safety devices. The contract is a 12-month unit-price arrangement, with no guaranteed quantities or work orders and a stated potential amount of $500,000 per event per successful bidder. Contractors must generally commence service within two hours after a work order is issued. Bids require electronic line-item pricing, a 5% bid security, acknowledgment of Addendum No. 1, the Construction Anti-Non-Collusion Affidavit, and the Construction Business Relationship Affidavit. The pre-bid conference is recommended rather than mandatory and will occur on October 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time. Performance, statutory, and maintenance bonds are not required for this contract, although insurance requirements apply under the bidding documents.
