Description
The City of Torrance Transit Department is seeking a vendor to provide new and remanufactured bus brake parts on an as-requested basis. The representative list includes air dryer cartridges and assemblies, brake wear and BVA sensors, slack adjusters, air governors, reflectors, air brake chambers, wheel drums, brake pads and kits, brake rotors, and brake calipers; the list is not all-inclusive. No substitutions, freight or shipping charges, or minimum order restrictions are allowed. Pricing must be all-inclusive except for tax, and inside delivery is required unless otherwise directed. Deliveries may not be made between noon and 1:00 p.m. Products must meet or exceed vehicle-manufacturer specifications. Remanufactured parts must include a certified letter or label confirming inspection, freedom from defects, and readiness for installation. The vendor must state its warranty, which begins on the installation date. The selected vendor will receive a purchase order, and the Transit Department will place orders against it as needed. The completed City RFQ form, including pricing, business information, experience narrative, references, and required signatures, must be submitted electronically. A minimum of three comparable references is required. Certificates of insurance and applicable endorsements are required before award, and a Torrance business license is required before award when the stated local-activity conditions apply.
