NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Request for Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications for Bentonville Parks and Recreation 10 Year Master Plan Request for Qualifications (RFQ)-26-51 The City of Bentonville is accepting Annual Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified, experienced, and appropriately licensed professional firms to provide professional services, as defined in Arkansas Code § 19-11-801 and described herein. Submissions will be evaluated for consideration to provide these services on an as-needed basis for 2026 City projects. Description
The City of Bentonville, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking annual letters of interest and statements of qualifications from qualified, experienced, and appropriately licensed professional firms for as-needed professional services supporting 2026 City projects. The primary requirement is a multidisciplinary consultant team to develop a new 10-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the Bentonville parks system. Required expertise includes long-range parks and recreation planning, landscape architecture, community engagement, facility and program analysis, operations, and financial planning. The plan will guide land acquisition, capital improvements, operations, programs, and amenities; assess current needs for a community of more than 65,000 residents; and project how population growth, demographic change, and development patterns will shape recreation needs during the next decade. The City is partnering with the Walton Family Foundation Design Excellence Program to create a comprehensive and implementable plan supporting a Gold Medal-level parks and recreation system.
