This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks services for soil moisture metering in the Xwulqw'selu/Koksilah Watershed, British Columbia. The project, administered by VGN Resources Group Inc. on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, aims to address increasing drought and water scarcity issues impacting agricultural producers in the region. Building on previous work, this initiative will expand soil moisture monitoring to additional farms to provide region-specific data and support informed irrigation scheduling decisions. The goal is to improve crop water use efficiency and mitigate economic losses due to water curtailments. Support for irrigation scheduling in the Koksilah region will continue until direction is confirmed through the watershed and water sustainability plan process.
