Description
The Virginia Department of Corrections is soliciting proposals for the lease of road tractors and box trucks. Required equipment includes newer dual-axle and single-axle road tractors, sleeper and day-cab configurations, 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks with liftgates, and refrigerated box trucks. Proposals must provide lease pricing for specified 36-, 48-, and 60-month terms, including purchase options at fair market value where stated. The contractor must provide delivery and pickup, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts, labor, supervision, towing, and replacement vehicles when repairs exceed the stated downtime threshold. Emergency service must be available with qualified personnel able to respond within two hours, and replacement vehicles must be provided within six hours when required. The response must include the completed Proposal Form, addenda acknowledgments, a narrative addressing the offeror’s experience and service approach, fleet size, maintenance locations, a Small Business Subcontracting Plan, and the State Corporation Commission Form.
