Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support plans to issue an unrestricted commercial solicitation for chlorate candles (NSN 4460-00-875-4568) and ignitors (NSN 4460-01-043-7635). The procurement is expected to result in one or two multiple-award, indefinite-quantity contracts using fair-opportunity ordering under FAR 16.505, with tradeoff source selection based on price and past performance. Each contract is anticipated to include a one-year base period and four one-year options. First Article Testing will be required for all offerors, and deliveries will be FOB destination to a continental United States Defense Logistics Agency depot. The solicitation is expected to be posted after November 15, 2026; no response deadline is provided in the presolicitation notice.
