Description
The United States Navy requires the manufacture and supply of a complete stem and disk assembly for a 1.5-inch globe throttle valve in accordance with NAVSHIPS drawing 803-2177525, piece 81, part number 803-2177525-C7XX-81. The assembly consists of a disk stem ring, stem, disk washer, and throttle disk. The stem must use ASTM-A182 grade F6a or SAE AMS-QQ-S-763 class 410, condition T material, with mechanical properties modified per the drawing. The item is designated Special Emphasis material, Level I, for use in a crucial shipboard system. Requirements include full material traceability, chemical and mechanical certifications, heat-treatment records, hardness testing, dye penetrant and visual inspection of hardfaced surfaces, non-destructive testing for applicable weld repairs, thread inspection, and a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 or the specified alternate military standards. Any required welding or brazing procedures and qualification data must be submitted for approval before the work is performed. Certification data must be submitted through WAWF for Government review and acceptance before each shipment. The procurement is a total small-business set-aside, and award will be based on the lowest aggregate total price.
