Description
The Borough of Brookhaven is soliciting construction bids for improvements at various locations, including removal and replacement of noncompliant curb-cut ramps, curbing, concrete sidewalks, driveway aprons, crosswalks, pavement, and related site restoration. The work includes approximately 70 linear feet of crosswalk, 520 square feet of sidewalk replacement, 1,300 linear feet of curb replacement, four ADA ramps with detectable warning surfaces, and 1,900 square feet of pavement restoration/base repair, subject to the bid documents and plans. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, utility coordination, cleanup, permits, resident notifications, and required construction supervision. The solicitation requires a 10% bid bond, 100% payment and performance bonds, a 10% maintenance bond, prevailing-wage and public-works employment-verification compliance, insurance, a non-collusion affidavit, bidder qualifications, a subcontractor declaration, and other required certifications. The work is to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed, with an additional contract provision stating 30 calendar days from the notice to proceed; bidders should resolve this apparent inconsistency through the solicitation process.
