Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police seeks one registered psychologist for approximately 25 hours per week. Services include psychological support and assessments for applicants and members, fitness-for-duty and specialized-duty evaluations, therapy and crisis intervention arrangements, review of external providers’ reports and invoices, and advice to the employee assistance program. The contractor will also develop and deliver brief training, collaborate on disability case management and return-to-work programs, and support related research and policy work. Travel within the province may be required. The proposed resource must be registered to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador, have at least five years of post-university clinical experience, and demonstrate at least 30 months of relevant occupational-health experience with policing, military, or safety-sensitive first responders during the past five years. The technical proposal must include a detailed CV and substantiation of mandatory and rated criteria; the financial proposal must provide firm hourly rates for the initial period and two option years. The contract is for one year, with up to two additional one-year extensions. Medical malpractice liability insurance of at least $2 million per loss and in the annual aggregate is required of the contractor.
