Description
Cherokee County is seeking a contractor to construct improvements at the State Route 140 and CR 309/Univeter Road intersection. The federally funded project includes grading, roadway widening and paving, recycled asphaltic concrete, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway improvements, drainage pipes and structures, erosion control, guardrail, signs, pavement markings, rumble strips, raised pavement markers, and a new traffic signal installation. The work must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation standards, specifications, special provisions, federal-aid requirements, Buy America provisions, and applicable environmental and traffic-control requirements. The contractor must complete the work within 730 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A 5% bid bond is required, along with performance and payment bonds of 100% and 110% of the contract amount, respectively. The solicitation requires numerous certifications, affidavits, references, licensing and qualification materials, insurance evidence, federal-aid forms, pricing documents, and a completed Bid Items Schedule.
