Description
Foothill Transit is soliciting a contractor to operate and maintain local and express fixed-route transit services from the Pomona Operations and Maintenance Facility. The scope includes service on specified routes, operation of approximately 145 revenue vehicles—including compressed natural gas, battery-electric, and hydrogen fuel-cell buses—and provision of operators, supervisors, dispatchers, maintenance personnel, training, safety and security programs, facility maintenance, fare collection support, and operations-control functions. The contractor will maintain Foothill Transit vehicles, equipment, systems, and facility; operate SMART Bus computer-aided dispatch and automatic vehicle location technology; perform preventive maintenance, fueling or charging, cleaning, repairs, inspections, and warranty administration; and provide transition and startup services. Compensation will be based on fixed monthly fees, revenue-hour and revenue-mile rates, special-services rates, extra-work rates, and startup costs. The contract term is 48 months, following a transition and startup period, with commencement scheduled for June 27, 2027.
