Franklin County Office of Public Defense is seeking statements of qualifications from attorneys to join its Superior Court Felony Panel due to an immediate opening. The services required cover all aspects of criminal defense for individuals charged with felonies (Class A, B, and C) in Superior Court, excluding homicides and persistent offender cases. The contract period is from ASAP until December 31, 2026, with a base annual compensation of $156,560 for up to 140 cases, plus additional compensation for trial per diem. Applicants must be active members in good standing with the Washington State Bar, possess at least two years of experience as a criminal prosecutor or defense attorney, and have tried at least two felony matters to juries. They must also have or establish a law office within the Tri-Cities area (Richland, Kennewick, or Pasco) and meet specific insurance requirements.
