LEGAL NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Notice is hereby given that the Kendallville Housing Authority will receive sealed bids from experienced and eligible contractors at the Kendallville Housing Authority office located at the Lamplighter, 240 Angling Road, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755, until 3:30 pm local time on October 22nd, 2026, for the following project: Kendallville Housing Authority Lamplighter – Kitchen Renovations Phase Three Bids will be opened and read publicly on October 22 nd , 2026, at 3:31 pm local time at the Kendallville Housing Authority office located at the Lamplighter, 240 Angling Road, Kendallville, Indiana. No facsimile copies will be accepted . Bidders shall include with their bid a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a bank draft, certified check, money order, or bid bond. Contractors shall comply with Section 3, HUD Act of 1968. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Forms supplied in the specifications. No facsimile copies of bids will be accepted. Printed plans, specifications, bid forms, and instructions to bidders are available, for a deposit of $50 per set per project. A check must be transmitted to Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics, 1239 Wells St., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808 (telephone 260-969-6510). The check shall be made payable to MartinRiley architects-engineers. Sets may be purchased online at: http://distribution.easternengineering.com . The deposit will be refunded provided a bid is submitted and said plans and specifications are returned to Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics in good order within ten (10) days of the bid date. A Pre-Bid Conference for the project will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on October 15, 2026, at the project site at 240 Angling Road, Kendallville, Indiana. Attendance at this Pre-Bid Conference by an agent of each Prime Bidder is strongly recommended prior to submitting a bid proposal. The Kendallville Housing Authority reserves the right to reject each and every bid and to waive formalities and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the agency to do so.
