Description
The City of Ocala is soliciting bids for construction at Ocala International Airport, including rehabilitation of approximately 96,200 square feet of T-hangar taxilanes through 2-inch asphalt milling and overlay. The project also includes an approximately 1,895-square-foot concrete fuel pad, an approximately 11,097-square-foot taxilane with a concrete wash pad, and an approximately 940-square-foot vehicle parking area. Associated work includes excavation and grading; lime rock base; asphalt and concrete pavement; temporary and permanent pavement markings; stormwater PVC piping, manholes, catch basins, trench drains, and 250- and 750-gallon oil-water separators; water service; underground electrical conduit and handholes; erosion and sediment controls; bollards, curbs, wheel stops, sod, and topsoil. The contractor must provide quality-control documentation, airport safety and phasing compliance, badging for supervisory personnel, permits, project records, monthly task-work-order reports, and a one-year material and labor warranty. The bidder must be a Florida-licensed general or building contractor and have at least five years of commercial or industrial building-construction experience. The project has a 150-calendar-day substantial-completion period followed by 30 calendar days for final completion, and requires a 5% bid bond, public construction bond, and maintenance and guarantee bond.
