Description
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is seeking quotes from professional delivery companies to provide delivery services in five categories: general deliveries, specimen deliveries, infectious substances deliveries, vaccine deliveries, and radioactive material deliveries. General deliveries include time-sensitive pick-ups and deliveries between state agencies, government offices, and locations within Boston and Metro Boston, with occasional deliveries needed beyond this region. Specimen deliveries require the same day delivery of specimens collected from various medical facilities within Massachusetts to the State Laboratory Institute in Jamaica Plain, requiring 7-day a week service including holidays, 365 days per year. Infectious substances deliveries involve transporting laboratory samples containing infectious substances regulated as Class 6.2 dangerous/hazardous goods. Vaccine deliveries require transporting vaccines to medical provider practices, mass vaccination sites, hospitals and other MDPH offices within the state of Massachusetts. Radioactive materials delivery service is for transporting Category DOT 7A type A materials at least once a year.
