Description
St. Lucie Public Schools is soliciting bids for a source to purchase and replace Allison remanufactured transmissions for Thomas, Blue Bird, and International chassis school buses. The scope includes transmission overhaul and exchange services, removal and installation, diagnostic reporting, testing and calibration, cooler and line flushing, filter replacement, failure analysis, pickup and return of buses, and field installation when requested. The successful bidder must be an approved Allison Warranty Repair facility and use OEM replacement components. Each repair or exchange requires applicable testing certification, pre- and post-repair Allison DOC diagnostic reports, and supporting repair documentation. The contract also requires a minimum two-year labor and materials warranty, response to repair requests within 24 hours, and completion within ten working days unless approved otherwise. Bidders must submit pricing for specified Allison transmission models, hourly rates, renewal adjustments, and authorized additional repair work.
