The Florida Department of Transportation, District 7, is seeking competitive sealed replies for Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) Services. All repliers must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system. Out-of-state corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships must be authorized to do business in Florida. Additionally, all repliers must be properly licensed if the business requires licensed individuals. Respondents are prohibited from contacting agency employees concerning the solicitation between its release and the 72-hour period following the notice of intended award. Several addenda have been issued, including updates to the timeline for public meetings, technical questions and answers regarding required training and certifications, and revisions to the method of compensation for non-vehicle incident clearances. The scope of services requires extensive knowledge in heavy duty towing and recovery, and vendors must be in good standing on the FHP wrecker rotation list. Award is contingent on demonstrated experience, knowledge, quality of work, and equipment inspection.
