Description

UChicago Argonne, LLC, operator of Argonne National Laboratory under a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting a complete, scalable, rack-scale artificial intelligence computing environment for the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility. The mandatory Base System consists of sixteen NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 compute racks and all associated equipment, high-speed east-west networking, north-south Ethernet integration with the laboratory environment and global file system, management and monitoring capabilities, software and licenses, facilities interfaces, installation, integration, testing, acceptance support, documentation, and training. The contractor must provide a production-capable system that supports distributed AI training, inference, interactive and service-oriented workloads, and batch workloads. The scope includes delivery coordination, rack placement, cabling, power and cooling connections, software installation, system bring-up, project management, weekly status reporting, acceptance-test support, and five years of maintenance and support. Proposals must include separate technical, business/management, and price components, including the completed Base System Pricing Proposal Form, ANL-70B Representations and Certifications, a technical bill of materials, and a completed SaaS Questionnaire if the proposed solution includes cloud-hosted or externally hosted operational dependencies. Alternative commercial structures are optional but must be submitted in addition to a compliant Base System proposal.
