Description
The Village of Romeoville is soliciting sealed proposals for Year 2 of its five-year water main replacement program. The work includes municipal water main and service line replacements. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer, Robinson Engineering, Ltd., and bidders must complete the required prequalification process before bid documents will be issued. Each proposal must include a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract amount. Contractors must comply with applicable prevailing-wage requirements, the Davis-Bacon Act, and federal, state, and local regulations. Bidders must demonstrate completion of at least three municipal water main projects involving service line replacements for Illinois or Indiana municipalities within the past five years, with water main and service work representing at least $1,000,000 of contract value.
