Description
The City of Brooklyn Park is soliciting bids for private-property tree and stump removal under a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources ReLeaf grant program and a voluntary risk-tree abatement program. The work includes approximately 130 ash-tree removals and additional dead, dying, or hazardous tree removals across three site-access tiers, with stump grinding, debris disposal, site restoration, grass seeding, and cleanup. Bidders must provide unit prices by tree diameter class for tree removal and stump removal. The contractor must have an ISA Certified Arborist supervising the project on site, be registered with the Minnesota Tree Care Registry, and provide at least three relevant references from work completed within the last five years, including two government-agency projects. Tree removal may not be subcontracted; stump grinding and restoration may be subcontracted with approval. The contract is expected to run from November 16, 2026, through December 31, 2027, with up to two one-year renewals. A 5% bid bond is required, and the selected contractor must maintain specified workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability, and other applicable insurance coverage.
