Description
The State of West Virginia, on behalf of the West Virginia Department of Transportation, is soliciting bids to establish a multiple open-end contract for calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory and measuring equipment used for transportation projects throughout West Virginia. Vendors may bid on any or all contract items, and all responsible qualified vendors may receive contracts for the items they bid; individual delivery orders will be awarded based on the lowest overall cost for the items required for each project. The equipment includes Blaine air permeability apparatuses, pressure gauges for 325 fineness tests, calipers, length comparator gauges and bars, compression testing machines, scales, moisture cabinets, humidifiers, air monitors, Instron universal testing machines, and calibrated weights. Calibration must comply with the applicable ASTM, AASHTO, manufacturer, or other specified standards. Preventive maintenance, inspection, calibration labels, and calibration reports are required; vendors must have ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for each calibration process performed. Some equipment should be calibrated on site, while other equipment may be calibrated off site with return shipping provided by the vendor.
