Description
The City seeks a contractor to remove and replace full panels of 7-inch reinforced concrete pavement on Winscott Road between US 377 and Vickery Boulevard. The work includes two unit-price items for 3,600-psi and 5,000-psi concrete, along with associated mobilization, traffic control, curb and gutter, joint sealing, pavement markings, site restoration, and incidental work. The stated total contract amount is $1,435,000, and the work must be completed within 270 calendar days after the City Engineer's work order specifies the commencement date. Bids must include a cashier's or certified check, or a bid bond, equal to 5% of the contract amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, and a 100% maintenance bond for two years. The proposal form is included in the bid document; the bid package also requires the bidder to submit a bid security instrument with the proposal.
