Description
The City of West Richland is soliciting sealed bids for improvements at the S. Highland Boulevard and Keene Road intersection under TIB Project Number 8-4-172(010)-1. The work includes excavation and embankment compaction; crushed surfacing base and top course; HMA 1/2-inch paving; asphalt pavement removal; concrete sidewalks, curb, gutter, and curb ramps; traffic signal and illumination systems; storm drainage improvements; landscape restoration; pavement markings; permanent signing; and related work required to complete the project. Groundwater is anticipated, and dewatering is expected to be a significant construction challenge. The engineer's estimate is $810,000. Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the City and accompanied by a bid proposal deposit equal to 5% of the bid amount, in the form of a surety bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond within the time specified in the contract documents.
