Description
The Military Sealift Command is seeking market research information—not offers—on the price and availability of U.S.- and foreign-flag, self-sustaining vessels able to carry at least 700 TEUs of containerized ammunition while meeting hazardous-material compatibility and segregation requirements. The cargo includes ammunition in hazard classes/divisions 1.1–1.4, with a maximum TEU gross weight of 41,000 pounds and an average of 31,000 pounds; the cargo list is unavailable. The requested charter is for a 75-day base period with three 75-day option periods. Interested parties are asked to provide vessel descriptions, proposed laydays, supercargo capacity, daily charter rates and any applicable delivery/redelivery bonuses, fuel consumption rates, company name and Unique Entity Identifier, business size, and other relevant information. Large businesses are asked to describe possible subcontracting opportunities. The stated layday window is December 13–17, 2026.
