Description
Walker County Government seeks proposals to purchase five new, purpose-built custom Class A pumper apparatus. Used, refurbished, or previously titled vehicles are not acceptable. Each apparatus must meet or exceed the detailed specifications, including a custom fire-service chassis, a minimum 1,500 GPM pump, a minimum 1,000-gallon booster tank, specified seating and safety equipment, lighting, hose connections, and other firefighting equipment. Proposals must include detailed apparatus specifications in the order of the RFP specifications, a scale drawing, a statement of exceptions, and an itemized price for all five fully equipped apparatus. The proposal must also describe the vendor’s and manufacturer’s relevant experience, service network, parts availability, warranty coverage, and delivery schedule, and include applicable manufacturer warranties. The successful vendor must deliver the apparatus within 365 calendar days of contract award, provide at least two county inspections, and provide on-site instruction for county personnel at delivery. The RFP requires two original hard-copy proposals and one PDF copy on a flash drive, along with the specified registration, affidavit, and tax forms.
