Description
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Biological Technologies Office is soliciting Phase 1 proposals for a 12-month research effort to develop an in-silico capability for mapping protein-protein interactions using binding-landscape emulators. The capability should model interaction signatures across multiple protein system sizes and biological contexts, including stable dimers, transient interactions, multiprotein complexes, and perturbations associated with traumatic brain injury. Phase 1 goals include modeling approximately 100,000 interactions across more than 10 conditions, establishing a proof of concept for TBI-associated interactomes, and achieving specified accuracy, confidence, system-size, residence-time, and context-coverage metrics. Proposals must include an abstract; the solicitation also provides templates for the task description, cost proposal, milestone and payment schedule, risk matrix, and model Other Transaction for Research agreement. The abstract must not exceed six pages, with a maximum of five pages for Phase I content and one page for Phase II content, excluding the title page and references. The Phase 1 government funding estimate may not exceed $2 million for 12 months.
