Description
The City of Los Angeles seeks commercial floor-care equipment, replacement parts, and repair services through an annual requirements contract. Equipment includes vacuums, auto scrubbers, floor machines, carpet extractors, burnishers, pressure washers, and related accessories. Repair work includes on-site or other specified repairs for several equipment categories; some repairs must be performed by manufacturer-certified technicians. Vendors must be authorized distributors or dealers for the manufacturers they quote, and the City may award contracts by lot. Bidders may submit for one or more lots but must quote every item within each selected lot. The procurement uses a two-phase process: bidders first submit qualification and compliance materials, and qualified bidders are invited to a reverse auction for final pricing. The City estimates total expenditures over the contract life, including renewals, at $185,000, without guaranteeing that amount. The City may renew the contract for four additional one-year periods. The solicitation also requires a completed RFQ worksheet, technical product information, a subcontractor list, and specified City forms and online affidavits. Insurance certificates and repair-certification proof are required only from the apparent successful bidder before award or contract execution, not with the initial bid.
