Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a quotation for 188 units of a protective dust cap identified as "PROTECTOR, OPTICAL INSTRUMENT," NSN 1240-01-621-4943, part number BSM-490-01. The approved manufacturer is identified as L3 Technologies, Inc., CAGE 0B107. Alternate offers require a complete data package for both the approved and alternate parts because adequate evaluation data is not available to the Government. The items must be packaged in accordance with ASTM D3951 and applicable DLA packaging requirements, marked and labeled in accordance with MIL-STD-129, and delivered FOB origin under the First Destination Transportation program. The solicitation states a delivery lead time of 175 days after order, with a required delivery date of October 31, 2027.
